It’s been over twenty years since humans discovered that trees are sentient and able to communicate. Now trees are integrated part of society. They use mobile avatars to work in offices, teach in colleges and participate in jury trials.
Jamie and Ana are on the first jury to be tasked with deciding if a tree is guilty of murdering a human. The ramifications are enormous and impact much more than the life of the accused.
